Position Overview

Reporting the HR Generalist, the HR Specialist will administer various HR programs and processes to enable Adaptive to grow and scale. This role will have accountability for creating and maintaining an amazing employee experience, including employee onboarding, program administration, compensation administration, as well as HR systems, processes and workflows, compliance and reporting.


  • Ownership of end-to-end onboarding administration:
    • Onboarding setup in HRIS (Paylocity) and other appropriate systems
    • Manager onboarding assistance and coordination
    • Building access card management
    • New hire paperwork preparation, execution, and delivery to Finance/Payroll and IT
    • New Hire Orientation logistics coordination
    • Partner with Executive Assistant to coordinate quarterly New Employee Lunches w/ CEO, as well as other employee celebrations
    • Organizational Chart maintenance
  • Ownership of end-to-end ofboarding administration:
    • Schedule exit interviews and prepare termination paperwork
    • Term employee in HRIS (Paylocity) and other appropriate systems
    • Term paperwork preparation, execution, and delivery to Finance/Payroll and IT
  • Employee data processing:
    • Notify appropriate departments of title, supervisor, and/or department changes, as well as process promotions
    • Status change paperwork preparation, execution, and delivery to Finance/Payroll and IT as necessary. Make employee changes in HRIS (Paylocity) and other appropriate systems
  • Serve as Events Committee Co-Chair with HR Generalist:
    • Schedule and attend each meeting
    • Assist in event planning and execution
  • HR Team Email inquiries
    • Serve as a first-pass at responding to general inquiries to the general HR email address, connecting the employee with the appropriate person as necessary
  • Other Projects as Assigned

Experience and Skills:

  • An Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required
  • 2-3 years’ experience in Human Resources in areas of HR Coordination, HRIS and HR Program Administration, or 5 years of experience at an Executive Assistant/Office Manager level
  • Strong understanding of HR policies and processes
  • Mastery of MS Office including Power Point, Word and Excel, and Outlook; experience with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups preferred
  • A diligent approach and fastidious attention to detail is required
  • Ability to work successfully independently and with others, and able to led by example
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer-focused approach
