Adaptive Biotechnologies is looking for an outstanding researcher to join our R & D laboratory team. You will participate in development of new assays for immune system profiling by next generation sequencing jointly with other researchers and computational biologists.


  1. Develop new assays for immune system profiling by next generation sequencing in collaboration with a team of other researchers and on the nexus to process engineering and production
  2. Create and develop new methods and technologies for project advancement including: novel molecular biology methods, streamlined protocols, and automating tasks that will be documented in SOPs for the production laboratory
  3. Responsible for analyzing data, interpreting results, and reporting findings to their supervisor
  4. Responsible for writing SOPs and verification and validation protocols and reports.

Experience and Skills:

  • B.A., B.S., in biology, molecular biology, immunology, or similar discipline with a minimum of 5 years professional laboratory experience. MS is preferred
  • Molecular biology skills (PCR, RT-PCR, NGS a plus)
  • Some experience with laboratory automation is a plus and willingness to learn operation and programming of liquid handlers is required; Windows OS, Mac OS, and MS Office literacy required, some LIMS experience a plus
  • Experience developing products under design control is strongly preferred
  • Experience writing verification and validation protocols and reports is strongly preferred
