Position Overview

The Production Associate position is responsible for processing client samples using high throughput DNA sequencing technology. The successful candidate will work within a team of other Laboratory Scientists in a fast-paced, high production setting to process clinical and research samples.


  • Perform DNA extractions, PCR amplification and high-throughput sequencing assays on DNA libraries
  • Perform QC and carry out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies
  • Keep accurate and detailed records for all workflows
  • Ability to work independently and carry out optimization and validation experiments
  • Review and edit SOPs for accuracy and clarity
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as liquid handling robotics and DNA sequencers
  • Enter and track data in a laboratory information database (LIMS)
  • Ensure laboratory compliance with regulatory agencies (CLIA, CAP, FDA)

Experience and Skills:


  • BS degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology or Medical Technologist from an accredited institution
  • Laboratory experience and a thorough understanding of PCR and DNA sequencing methods
  • Working knowledge of laboratory terminology, equipment and supplies


  • Minimum of one year professional laboratory experience
  • Experience in either a clinical, high-throughput or production environment is preferred

  • Ability to maintain organized, detailed records and produce accurate reports
  • The ability to be self-motivated and work independently, with minimal supervision, while also working as part of a team environment in a dynamic organization
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in excess of standard hours when necessary, including nights & weekends



We currently have both morning and afternoon shift positions open.
